Contributions to Brigid's Fire
Brigid’s Fire is a new Irish pagan magazine and we are currently taking submissions and looking for regular contributors. We are on the lookout for talented individuals who wish to express themselves, whilst making a contribution to the development of the pagan community in Ireland.
Contributors are unpaid as we are a non-profit magazine, but contributors will receive a complimentary copy of the issue in which their work appears. Where applicable we will include a brief write-up on the author or artist.
If you wish to make enquiries, or send submissions of written material and artwork, contact us at:

Articles and other written material are submitted to the editors for consideration for inclusion in Brigid’s Fire. We reserve the right to edit articles for clarity and grammar. We will not rewrite articles for style and accuracy, nor will we abridge them. We reserve the right to return articles to authors if they are too long, poorly written or contain inaccuracies. Material that we believe may contain libellous remarks will not be published. Contributors should quote sources and acknowledge other authors for their opinions and findings and we ask contributors not to plagiarise the views of others.
Feature articles should be 500 – 1,500 words
in length and letters should be under 500 words. Please note the following points: type material in a standard font using double-line spacing; do not type in capitals. Attach your submission in ‘Word’.
We accept poetry and short stories; however fictional material should be no more than 2,000 words in length. We welcome reviews of books, music, films and exhibitions that would be of interest to the Irish pagan community. Review articles should be 300 words maximum.
Send written material to our email address at brigidsfire at mail.com with information in the subject line (e.g. ‘Article for Bealtaine’) and with the article submitted as a separate attachment. Each submission should include the author’s name, contact number and, if you wish, a personal photograph. Please specify if you wish to use a nom de plume.
If possible send back-up illustrations and photographs to accompany your article. We will not publish any photograph, illustration or item of artwork that is subject to copyright and for which the contributor has not sought permission to use from the holder of the copyright. The editors reserve the right to not publish any artwork or material that we believe infringes copyright.
We are happy to receive good quality photographs and original artwork. Artwork should be black and white, or grey scale. Please send digital photos or scanned images as large jpg (300 dpi). Email files to brigidsfire at mail.com
